EN: Dr. Markus Marquard is the managing director of ZAWiW and an experienced researcher in the fields of New Media, intercultural projects (especially on European level) and intergenerational dialogue and geragogy (learning in later life). He is experienced in supervising action research projects on regional, national and international level in the field of introducing the internet to older adults, application of the new media, online journalism, virtual and cooperative learning as well as intergenerational learning. He coordinated several projects like Senior Internet Mentors in rural areas, Competence and Learning Exchange for Young and Old on the internet and in Face-to-Face, or the ThirdAgeOnline – Community & Collaboration project, and longstanding didactic expertise in developing trainings and courses for older learner based on participative methods. He holds a doctorate of the University of Augsburg with geragogic emphasis: “Internetnutzung Weiterbildungsinteressierter Älterer als Kompetenzentwicklung“ (Web use as competence development for older adults interested in continuing education).
DE: Dr. Markus Marquard ist der Geschäftsführer des ZAWiW und ein erfahrener Forscher in den Bereichen Neue Medien, interkulturelle Projekte (insbesondere auf europäischer Ebene) und intergenerationeller Dialog und Geragogik (Lernen im späteren Erwachsenenalter). Er ist erfahren in der Betreuung von Aktionsforschungsprojekten auf regionaler, nationaler und internationaler Ebene im Bereich der Einführung des Internets für ältere Erwachsene, der Anwendung der neuen Medien, des Online-Journalismus, des virtuellen und kooperativen Lernens sowie des intergenerationellen Lernens. Er koordinierte mehrere Projekte wie Senior Internet Mentoren in ländlichen Gebieten, Kompetenz- und Lernaustausch für Jung und Alt im Internet und im Face-to-Face, oder das Projekt ThirdAgeOnline – Community & Collaboration, sowie langjährige didaktische Expertise in der Entwicklung von Trainings und Kursen für ältere Lernende auf der Basis partizipativer Methoden. Er hat an der Universität Augsburg mit geragogischem Schwerpunkt promoviert: “Internetnutzung Weiterbildungsinteressierter Älterer als Kompetenzentwicklung”.
